This morning, our esteemed CEO and president, Edie Rodriguez, took a significant step skyward, as she signed off and received the “keys” to Crystal AirCruises’ Crystal Skye. During a brief handover ceremony in Seattle, Washington, Crystal officially took ownership of this spectacularly designed Boeing 777-200LR from the expert design team of Greenpoint Technologies, who oversaw and executed her fully custom design.
Edie Rodriguez is joined by executives from Greenpoint Technologies and Boeing, as well as Crystal Skye’s team of SkyeButlers for the official ribbon cutting of the aircraft.
While Crystal Skye’s christening and maiden flight are a few weeks away, we’re ecstatic to welcome this extraordinary aircraft to our award-winning fleet. Here are some of Crystal Skye’s remarkable features that elevate her, literally, above all other air travel experiences:
Guest capacity. Crystal Skye is designed accommodate up to 88 guests. The passenger capacity of a traditionally configured Boeing 777-200LR is 314-396 (380 in an all-economy configuration).

Your Crystal crew. Crystal Skye employs 12 SkyeButlers, plus four pursers, from all over the world, boasting a cumulative total of more than 140 years of flying experience. Among them, 32 languages are spoken, including Mandarin and Cantonese, Spanish, German, French, Afrikaans, English, Italian, Bengali, Japanese and others. On any given flight, your journey will offer the personal service of the SkyeButlers, plus four captains, an executive chef, mixologist and purser.
Each guest enjoys the personal service of a butler assigned to cater to their individual wishes throughout the in-flight experience. Butlers carts are equipped for six-star service, with steam irons, shoe horns and polish, wrapping paper, extract fragrances and lens cleaner.
Abundant space, by the numbers. Crystal Exclusive Class™ seats are laid out in a 2x2x2 configuration, staggered to allow guests to enjoy window views in every direction regardless of their location on the aircraft. Each seat boasts a 74-inch pitch with 24 inches between armrests, and will lay flat to a full 73.5 inches for restful room to sleep during nighttime flights. Six spa-like lavatories offer relaxing music, spacious counter tops and ETRO bath amenities.
Sky-high cuisine. Crystal Skye’s executive chef oversees all onboard menu designs, featuring Michelin-inspired cuisine reflecting the global destinations visited. The chef collaborates with the sommelier/mixologist to offer pairings with fine wines from Crystal’s SkyeCellar. Two professionally appointed galleys are equipped with nine total steam and convection ovens, espresso machines, frother, blender, ice machines and other necessary tools of the trade; and chef carts are fully stocked for special requests
Stay connected (or not). Crystal Skye’s in-flight entertainment system has been designed exclusively for the aircraft with 24-inch HD Panasonic monitors – the largest in the industry – and mini monitors in each handset. The custom system enables guests to view a comprehensive selection of movies, TV shows and music on-demand while on board, in addition Live TV and other features including a live cockpit-to-airport ground control listening channel; a detailed live moving map offering guest the ability to check progress of the AirCruise; and TV cameras outside for views of take-off, in flight and landing.
