Everyone loves watching dolphins swim in and out of the surf, or sea otters floating on their backs trying to crack open shells; but there are more creatures under the sea that also fly under our radar. Here are a few sea creatures you should probably pay more attention to.
Also called nudibranchs, the brightly-colored sea slugs are soft, spongy slow-moving creatures. They would seem easy pickings for predators, but they have one of the coolest defenses in the animal kingdom; they eat the highly poisonous stinging cells of sea anemones and then incorporate them into their own defense, making them a no-go zone for predators. They advertise their toxicity with bright colors and wavy tentacles that make them some of the prettiest creatures in the sea.
