You’ve probably been checking the forecast to make sure your upcoming Caribbean vacay has the perfect balance between sunshine, sea breeze and no clouds on sight. At Excellence Resorts, we know pretty well that sunny days are your favorite days to indulge in the Caribbean state of mind during your stay, and that’s why we put together this info just for you!
Our quick weather guide for your Cancun visit
September until November is Cancun’s official “rainy season”, but unless there’s a hurricane or tropical storm in the area, rain usually only sticks around for a really short period of time (maybe just a few minutes), so don’t worry! If you see some raindrops, odds are that you’ll be back having fun under the sun in no time.
Very often, the forecasts will show possibility of rain every day of your vacation, but don’t let those little rain cloud icons scare you. Typically this just means that there is some chance of rain at some point in the day… and again, it’s normally just a quick shower.
Of course, keep in mind that nature can be unpredictable and it might change from time to time, and even in our Caribbean paradises you can experience what we like to call “tropical rain”.
Spring is here right now, providing us with the very best weather in Cancun, with an average temperature between 73-88°F. In this part of the world, the turquoise blue ocean and the relaxing sounds of the waves are the ideal combo for participating in activities and water sports under the sun.
Yes, rain is still a possibility any time of the year, even if the forecast says otherwise, and there might be a brief period of time when you can’t bask in the sunshine… it might be a 15-minute drizzle or a 50-minute shower, but that doesn’t mean it has to be an inconvenience! Instead of feeling blue, you can take part of your day to enjoy a restorative and relaxing treatment at our world-class spas, or enjoy a forecast of 100% chance of cocktails at any of our bars.
If you want, you can pack a lightweight jacket and a pair of close-toed shoes just in case, but honestly, tropical rain is typically short-lived and is almost always accompanied by a dash of sunshine and a playful rainbow… a great memory to complement your stay!
At Excellence Resorts, we want to always give you our first-hand information, which is why we’re providing you with this heads up info before your arrival to the amazing Caribbean destination that is Cancun. To be perfectly honest, we hope you’re lucky enough to experience a bit of tropical rain on your vacation because, without rain, there is no rainbow.
