Cancun, August 29, 2018- Excellence Group Luxury Hotels and Resorts, acclaimed leaders in the all-inclusive luxury field, have announced plans for significant enhancements to the group’s portfolio of Mexico properties.
The 8 million dollar investment will bring new dining options and offerings throughout their four properties in Cancun and Riviera Maya, as well as provide upgrades to amenities of select room categories.

This attention to detail has been recognized by guests, with three of the group’s properties named among the world’s best on two of the award categories in the coveted 2018 TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice® for Hotels Awards. This planned investment, which is set for completion by the end of 2018, will further elevate the Excellence Group experience.
Beloved Playa Mujeres, the group’s most intimate and upscale boutique hotel, further positions itself as one of the world’s best havens for romance and wellness, with upgrades to the property’s gastronomic experience. The adults-only property will introduce Le Bisou, a contemporary French fine-dining venue.
Additionally, the hotel’s existing eateries will be reimagined and converted to an upscale steakhouse, an Italian Trattoria, and a Lobster & Fresh Seafood House for seaside dining. Further additions include a gourmet coffee house, a sports bar, and an assortment of food trucks offering snacks and bites.
Updates to Excellence Playa Mujeres include a new location for guest-favorite, Aroma coffee house, as well as an artisanal mezcal and tequila lounge which will be now offered at La Havana Cigar Lounge. The property will also revamp the entire experience for Excellence Club guests with a new lounge featuring an exclusive top-shelf bar, and new flagship restaurant Magna, serving both a-la-carte breakfast and dinner.
Excellence Riviera Cancun will boast upgrades to its beachside restaurant Las Olas, while Finest Playa Mujeres, the group’s only family-friendly resort, will be home to a new Sea Side restaurant. The new a-la-carte venue will be exclusive to Finest Club and Excellence Club guests.
Additionally, Excellence Group plans to upgrade the resort’s Jr. Swim-Up & Private Pool Suites category with new modern wood decks throughout Finest Playa Mujeres, Excellence Riviera Cancun, and Excellence Playa Mujeres.
