Crystal’s first ‘Rhine Class’ ship delivered to CEO and president, Edie Rodriguez, during handover ceremony in Germany.
In Germany, Crystal River Cruises welcomed Crystal Bach to its award-winning fleet. The luxury river ship, the first of four “Rhine Class” ships set to sail the rivers of Europe, was delivered to Crystal by MV WERFTEN during the official handover ceremony in Wismar, Germany. In attendance to witness the occasion were Crystal’s CEO and president, Edie Rodriguez and several local dignitaries.

Crystal Bach joins an internationally celebrated lineup of luxury travel experiences, as Crystal River Cruises was voted “Best River Cruise Line” by the readers of Travel + Leisure in the magazine’s 2017 World’s Best Awards. Sailing itineraries between Amsterdam and Frankfurt, and Amsterdam and Basel, Crystal Bach will travel along the Rhine and Moselle rivers.
Crystal’s “Rhine Class” river ships are the river cruising industry’s first and only all-balcony, all-suite vessels in Europe, with every category of accommodation perched above the waterline.
