Springtime in Nashville is the type of experience artists write songs about. The weather is delightful and sounds of music fill the air as native trees and flowers burst into bloom. Whether it’s the great outdoors, local attractions or the love of music that brings you to Music City this spring, there’s a little something for everyone! As you’ll see in our little Nashville spring guide right this way…
Get Outside
Located only four blocks from Loews Vanderbilt is Centennial Park, a picturesque 132-acre park. Visitors can enjoy exhibits and gardens, attend festivals or simply enjoy it in full bloom. Standing in the park is the Parthenon, the world’s only full-scale replica of the famous Greek Temple. For an additional charge, you can view both the city’s art museum and Athena Parthenos. At almost 42 feet in height, she is the tallest indoor sculpture in the western world.
The Cumberland River Pedestrian Bridge is another way to experience the great outdoors at no cost. Enjoy this exceptional vantage point for Nashville’s downtown skyline and waterway on bike or foot both day and night. Don’t forget your camera! The views are totally Instagram worthy.

Not sure what you’re looking for? Oh, there’s an app for that. Nashville’s Music City Guide app allows you to search upcoming shows, venues or simply find the closest gig to you at any given moment.

Spring is the perfect time to experience the magic of Cheekwood botanical gardens. The grounds offer multiple gardens and a sculpture trail to walk on a beautiful day. During the Cheekwood in Bloom program (March 18–April 23, 2017), over 100,000 tulips can be seen in full view along with Snowdrops, crocus, hyacinths, daffodils, magnolias, redbuds, and dogwoods. Even if you’re allergic to the entire spring season, this experience is worth a few extra allergy pills!
Fun fact: Other members of the Cheek family created a coffee blend which was exclusively served at the Maxwell House Hotel. The blend became available to the masses and is now known as Maxwell House.
It’s time to spring into action and start planning your trip to Nashville today. It’s a blooming good time!
