The marquees aboard Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity just got a bit fuller, and the lights a bit brighter, as an expanded roster of toe-tapping song and dance shows, side-splitting comedy sets, and full Big Band and Ballroom performances hit the stages. In addition to the just-announced new Broadway talent and productions that will join the Crystal entertainment roster this summer, the Crystal cast of talented players entertains a variety of short form genres every evening in the central hubs of the Crystal Cove and Starlite and Stardust clubs throughout both ships.

On the Spot Entertainment
With a focus on variety and choices, “spot shows” pack all the pomp and pizazz of longer stage shows in abbreviated performances of 30 minutes or less. New to Crystal’s elegant stages are the up-tempo beats of “Rock & Pop-A-Mania” and “Jump & Swing-A-Mania,” designed to get your feet dancing as you allow yourself to sing along. If you prefer the tunes of the Great White Way, “Broadway Nights” invites you to relish your favorite scores – and those of our featured singers – in an intimate theater setting.
Lose yourself in the seamless choreography of Crystal’s International Ballroom Dancing duos, or the clever wit of guest comedians, sharing their entertaining gifts in the Starlite and Stardust clubs. Throughout the evenings, the newly expanded Crystal Show Band sets the mood with themed sets in various venues, each performance featuring the vocal stylings of a featured singer.
New Faces (and Voices, Strings, and Rhythms)
The range of talent that graces stages of Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity is consistently exceptional, while also evolving to offer more choices and musical styles. For instance, you may notice that the former six-piece orchestra has a bit more edge that before, as a seventh musician – an electric guitar master – transforms the group into the Crystal Show Band. The band has also gained a featured singer, who will add creative vocals to shows in Starlite and Stardust Clubs, the Crystal Cove and poolside on the Seahorse Deck.
For music that highlights the journey’s destinations, a brand new specialty duo will play styles that enhance your travel experience. Enjoy country music in Alaska, various folk tunes in Europe, and Jazz and Classic Rock virtually anywhere. You may also notice the sweet strains of a violin’s strings in areas of the ship you hadn’t heard them before, as a new string duo allows violinists to enhance the elegant dining experience in the ships’ restaurants, or even on the nightclub stage playing the electric violin alongside the newly dedicated DJ.
Also look for the DJ at your favorite onboard events, as poolside sail-aways, sunset cocktails, and specialty themed parties each call for the perfect melodies and moods.
