While the Caribbean is a highly-desired vacation location, sometimes traveling through it requires conquering challenging timeframes, connections and layovers.
We’ve made getting to Scrub Island Resort simple with this helpful destination guide. Whether you’re flying out of San Juan, St. Thomas, St. Maarten or through a luxury private charter, you’ll be sipping a cocktail on the shores of Scrub Island in no time.
My preferred journey is through San Juan, as the connecting flight to Tortola/Beef Island is speedy and includes complimentary, panoramic views of the incredibly clear Caribbean. Once in Tortola, Scrub Island guests can walk or take a quick ride to the Trellis Bay Ferry Dock to meet Scrub Island’s private ferry. This complimentary ferry service leaves Trellis Bay ferry dock every hour at 45 minutes past the hour.
It’s become even easier to get to Scrub Island with interCaribbean, which now provides service to Tortola. interCaribbean started expanding service and operations in the BVI back in June of 2016. Since then, they’ve increased their fleet including direct service to San Juan from Tortola, up to three times a week.
interCaribbean Airways is a Turks & Caicos Islands based airline known for “connecting you to the Caribbean.” Flying interCaribbean can provide connections that could save you as much as a whole day — leaving you with more vacation time, and less travel time.
