Our WOW story of the week comes from Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa!
While her family was enjoying a drink outside of the Coco Café, Mrs. D went to the restroom and left her precious robin named Pedro (a bird made of Styrofoam that looks real) on the table. When she returned, she realized that Pedro was no longer there, so Mrs. D and her husband started looking for him in the surrounding areas of the resort.
They looked inside of the Coco Café and the resort personnel asked them if they could be of assistance.
Mrs. D told them about the situation and the staff immediately activated a “code orange,” which is typically used for missing a person. The resort didn’t want to manage the situation as any other regular lost and found since the family is very attached to Pedro and he is regarded as part of the family.
Hours later, the resort’s collaborators Rubí and Daniel from the F&B department, saw a group of children laughing and when they approached the group, they saw that the children were playing with Pedro.
Knowing that Pedro had been “lost,” the resort created a series of photographs where Pedro, instead of being lost, was enjoying his time with Maria, a beautiful Mexican Guacamaya, all around the resort. When our Preferred Club Manager Pedro Cruz contacted Mrs. D to share the good news and the “photographic evidence,” Mrs. D broke down in tears of joy, saying that she was really moved and thankful for the special moment the resort created for her and her family.
