Running at Universal Orlando Resort
I’m currently training for my fifth half marathon! But finding a great place to run can be a pretty daunting task while on vacation. Whether you’re training for a race or you’re just looking to stay on top of your workout routine, our five on-site hotels have a beautiful trail to take on before a great day in the parks.
Here are my three tips for staying on track with your training while on vacation.
- Pack your favorite running clothes
The best part of going to a theme park is being able to wear your athleisure clothes for an early morning jog and a fun day in the park. I personally love to pack my favorite moisture wicking running clothes so that I can pack light and be comfortable all day.
- Wake up early
One of the benefits of staying on-site is being able to take advantage of Early Park Admission. I promise you’ll be in for a treat if you can start your run to watch the sunrise and head into the park before the scheduled opening!
- Enjoy our scenic running trail
From Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort to Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, the total distance is about three miles. Whether you’re a runner, a jogger, or a walker, this path is perfect for you! If you prefer to avoid the trail, we do have a map that will guide you on our loop around the entire Universal Orlando Resort destination. Stop by the concierge desk on your arrival and pick up a map showing the .45, 1.3 and 3- mile loop.
Here’s a little teaser of what you’ll get to see when you run around our universe!
